Volunteering & Fundraising Acknowledgement

Volunteer Requirement:

In order to successfully operate a competitive club all families are required to volunteer for various roles throughout the season (i.e., board members, coaches, swim meet officials, etc.). The Huron Hurricane Aquatic Club will offer many volunteer opportunities throughout the season that will have points associated with them. Each family is recommended to take an officials course and volunteer as officials at swim meets, in addition to the other volunteer requirements. This will support our club's need to develop officials to meet Swim Ontario requirements.

Agreement:

By registering my child(ren) with the Huron Hurricanes Aquatic Club, I agree that my family will complete obligations based on level of swimmer as per the Volunteering Policy (Volunteering). I further agree that if not all volunteer requirements have been met, my account will be charged the outstanding required point allotment at the end of the season. For example: 500 points are required, 200 points have been accrued. 300 points are out standing. 1 point = $25.00, therefore $300.00 will be charged to the account.

 

Fundraising Requirement:

In order to keep our registration fees as low as possible and to be financially sustainable, there will be a variety of fundraising events throughout the season. 

Agreement:

By registering my child(ren) with the Huron Hurricanes Aquatic Club, I agree that my account will be charged a $100 fundraising fee at the time of registration. This fee will pay for raffle tickets that can be sold to recoup the $100 raffle fee.

Additional Participation:

I also understand that I will be encouraged to participate in other fundraising activities throughout the year to help support the club. While these fundraising activities will be optional, they are very important to the financial viability of the club.
